Stromness Hometown: an audio journey through the streets of Stromness, recorded as a Stromness Museum community project in 2012 for walking tours of the town, and made available more widely digitally ten years later. The brief core episodes are: Introduction, South Pier, Pierhead, Pier Arts Centre, Commercial Hotel, Graham Place, Hellihole Road, Stromness Museum, and The Cannon.

Notes

This was recorded seventeen years after we left Orkney in 1995, and in the year I registered for my research studies with the Centre for Nordic Studies (now Institute for Northern Studies) at Orkney College UHI. We stayed in Stromness when we first moved to Orkney in 1986, and Dad worked at Stromness Academy for ten years (Alex, Holly and I all went to school there for varying lengths of time).
